The Grant Information and Data Coordinator will manage and optimize technology systems and data processes to support program activities throughout the grant-funded project, ending June 2029. This includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of systems such as databases, software applications, and communication tools, to facilitate efficient data collection, storage, and analysis during project activities. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the successful implementation and evaluation of the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Project (GWEP).
This position is full-time, grant-funded, with employment based on grant funding.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Required Experience
One to three years experience in a healthcare occupation preferred.
Experience with data analysis and visualization preferred.
Master’s degree in related fields preferred.
Primary Duties/Essential Functions
Manage and optimize technology systems and data processes to support program activities.
Oversee implementation and maintenance of systems such as databases, software applications, and communication tools to facilitate efficient data collection, storage, and analysis.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify information and data system needs and develop solutions to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, implement data quality control measures, and provide training and technical support to program staff on data and information systems and data management protocols.
Contribute to data analysis efforts, generating reports and insights to inform decision-making and evaluate program outcomes.
Plays a crucial role in supporting the successful implementation and evaluation of the GWEP program.
Skills
Knowledge in the use of common database systems. Basic knowledge of SQL (preferred), one to many and many to one data relationships.
Proficiency in the use of Excel and Google Sheets.
Basic skills in SAS, SPSS.
Familiarity in the use of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, Health Information Systems (HIS), and other healthcare related software.
Basic knowledge understanding of network infrastructure, system security, file sharing, and maintenance.
Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
Understanding of healthcare regulations and standards such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Awareness of cybersecurity principles to protect sensitive patient information and healthcare data.
Analytical and problem solving skills.

Technologies
Proficient in Google Apps., Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook. Familiarity with database management and record keeping systems. Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
Compensation
Grade 7: $19.49 to $22.41 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
